Accidents happen anytime and anywhere but having precautions has its own advantages. Melanie Gibbons, Sutherland Shire-born, is into the campaign of making school crossing safety for the children and young pedestrians that traversed to and from school. Especially when a recent dreadful accident happened, wherein an oncoming vehicle hit a 12-year-old student who was trying to catch the Metrobus. 

After the said incident, signages where put up to remind drivers of young pedestrians crossing as well as pedestrians where reminded to practice correct road crossing. In line with this, Gibbons, discussed having measures on how to make road crossing a lot safer for these young ones.

Graffiti's presence in most communities, are considered a negative one. It pertains to drawings and writings on public surfaces like on walls of which markings convey an underlying political or social messages written in multiple words and at some point with exaggerated illustrations. They could also be symbols of certain gangs or groups that mark the territory but some claim that such markings are what they called as art and their freedom to express themselves. 

MP Melanie Gibbons promised though to put a stop to these acts. Controlling the graffiti vandalism or defacement has a lot of advantages to offer. Also this one is a punishable crime by law of which culprits caught doing it will need to face the court of law and proper sanctions will be given.
